Terms and Conditions

Last updated:

Draft for review. This page is a draft and must be reviewed by a qualified professional before publication.

These terms and conditions ("terms") apply to your use of our website at https://jzcgroup.co.uk (opens in a new tab), any customer account you create with us, and any services we provide to you. Please read them carefully. By using our website or asking us to provide services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. Who we are

Our website is operated by JZ CONSULTANT GROUP LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16513565. Our registered office is 11 Swan Street, Loughborough, England, LE11 5BJ.

You can contact us by email at jubedmiahh@gmail.com or by phone on [telephone number — to be confirmed].

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean JZ CONSULTANT GROUP LTD, and "you" and "your" mean the person using our website or services.

2. We are independent of delivery platforms

We are an independent consultancy. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting on behalf of Uber Eats, Deliveroo, Just Eat, Stuart, Amazon Flex or any other delivery platform, insurer or government body.

All platform names, logos and trade marks mentioned on our website belong to their respective owners. We use them only to describe the platforms our customers work with or wish to work with.

3. What our services are

We provide general guidance and administrative support to food-delivery riders and couriers. This may include:

  • helping you understand the published application requirements of delivery platforms;
  • helping you prepare and organise your own documents;
  • general information about types of insurance riders may need;
  • general guidance about account set-up and onboarding steps;
  • general information about self-employment.

Any specific service, what it includes and any fee will be confirmed with you before we start.

4. What we do not do

  • We do not make decisions on applications. Decisions about applications, background checks, account activation, deactivation and reinstatement are made solely by the delivery platforms. Decisions about insurance cover and acceptance are made solely by insurers.
  • We do not guarantee any outcome. We cannot and do not guarantee that your application will be approved, that your account will be activated or reinstated, that you will receive work, or that any insurer will offer you cover.
  • We will never ask for your platform passwords or one-time verification codes, and we will never log in to your platform accounts on your behalf. Please never share these with us or anyone else.
  • We do not provide regulated or specialist professional advice (see section 5).

5. Not regulated or professional advice

  • Insurance: we are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). We provide general information only. We do not recommend, arrange, sell or compare insurance products, we do not act as an insurance broker or intermediary, and we do not collect insurance premiums. You should obtain insurance directly from an insurer or an FCA-authorised broker. You can check whether a firm is authorised on the FCA Register (opens in a new tab).
  • Tax and HMRC: any information we give about self-employment, tax or HMRC matters is general information only and is not tax advice. For advice on your own circumstances, speak to HMRC or a qualified accountant or tax adviser.
  • Legal: we do not provide legal advice. For legal advice, speak to a qualified solicitor.
  • Immigration and right to work: we do not provide immigration advice or services. Immigration advice in the UK may only be given by people who are qualified and regulated to do so. If you have questions about your right to work, contact a regulated immigration adviser or the Home Office.

Platform rules can change

Delivery platforms, insurers and government bodies change their requirements from time to time. We try to keep our guidance up to date, but you should always check the latest requirements directly with the relevant platform or organisation before relying on them.

6. Your responsibilities

When you use our website or services, you agree to:

  • give us information that is accurate, complete and up to date, and tell us promptly if anything changes;
  • only provide your own documents and information, or documents you are legally entitled to share;
  • not use, or ask us to help you use, anyone else's identity, documents or account;
  • not share, rent, sell or borrow a delivery platform account, or ask us to help with account sharing or substitution that is not allowed by the platform;
  • comply with the terms and rules of each delivery platform and with the law, including laws on right to work, driving licences, vehicle insurance and tax;
  • make your own decisions about whether and how to apply to a platform, take out insurance or register for self-employment.

We may refuse or stop providing services if we reasonably believe that you have given false information, are using someone else's documents or identity, or are asking us to help with something that breaks the law or a platform's rules.

7. Fees and payment

We do not currently charge for any services through our website, and no payment is taken online.

If we offer paid services in the future, the fee, what it covers and how and when it is payable will be confirmed and agreed with you in writing before any paid work begins. We will not start paid work without your agreement. Prices will be shown including any VAT that applies.

8. Your right to cancel

Note for review: this section must be confirmed once paid services are launched.

If you are a consumer and you agree a contract for services with us at a distance (for example online, by email or by phone), you will normally have the right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day the contract is entered into.

  • To cancel, tell us clearly in writing, for example by email to jubedmiahh@gmail.com.
  • If you ask us to start providing services during the cancellation period and then cancel, you may have to pay for the services provided up to the point you tell us you are cancelling.
  • If the services have been fully provided within the cancellation period at your express request, and you acknowledged that you would lose your right to cancel once the services were fully performed, you may no longer be able to cancel.
  • We will refund any money due to you within 14 days of being told about your cancellation, using the same payment method you used.

9. Customer accounts

You may create an optional customer account to track your requests.

  • You must give accurate details and keep your password secure and confidential. Do not share your account with anyone else.
  • You are responsible for activity on your account unless it results from our failure to keep our systems secure.
  • Tell us immediately at jubedmiahh@gmail.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
  • You can ask us to close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if it is misused or if you breach these terms. We handle account data as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Acceptable use of our website

You must not:

  • use our website for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
  • submit false, misleading or someone else's information;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to our website, systems, other users' accounts or data;
  • introduce viruses or other harmful code, or attempt to disrupt or overload the website (including by automated or bulk form submissions);
  • copy, scrape or harvest content or data from our website by automated means without our permission;
  • send abusive, threatening or offensive content to us or our staff.

11. Intellectual property

All content on our website, including text, guides, design and graphics, is owned by or licensed to JZ CONSULTANT GROUP LTD and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not copy, republish or distribute our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Third-party trade marks remain the property of their owners (see section 2).

12. Our liability to you

  • We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
  • We are not responsible for decisions made by delivery platforms, insurers, HMRC or any other third party, or for changes to their requirements.
  • We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information or documents you give us, or by your failure to follow the terms of a platform or the law.
  • We are only responsible for loss or damage that is a reasonably foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our negligence. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
  • Our website is provided for general information. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free from errors.
  • If you use our services for business purposes, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. Subject to the paragraph below, our total liability to you in connection with any services will not exceed the total fees you paid us for those services (to be reviewed).

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. For information about your legal rights, contact Citizens Advice.

13. Links to other websites

Our website may link to websites run by others, such as delivery platforms, insurers, HMRC or the FCA. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content or how they handle your data.

14. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our website or services, please tell us. Our Complaints Procedure explains how we handle complaints.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we introduce paid services. The version on our website when you ask us to provide a service will apply to that service. The "last updated" date shows when these terms were last changed.

16. General

  • If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply.
  • If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • These terms are between you and us. No other person has any right to enforce them.
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you if this happens and make sure it does not affect your rights.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
